Blame as performance

Abstract This paper develops a novel account of the nature blame: on this account, blame is species performance with constitutive aim. The argument for claim that an action speech-act theoretic: it relies performatives and parallelism between mental spoken blame. I argue view scores well prior plausibility theoretical fruitfulness, in that: rests claims are widely accepted across sub-disciplines, explains normativity blaming accounts associated psychological phenomena.
